City Bank, one of the leading financial institutions in the country, disclosed its first-quarter earnings for 2022 in a program on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Current and potential investors across the globe, researchers, analysts and others involved in the capital market joined the event virtually, said a press release.<\/p>\n
Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Assistant Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of City Bank, started the program with a presentation on the bank\u2019s financial performance for the first quarter of this year, followed by a speech from Mashrur Arefin, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, who briefly discussed the bank’s current strategic position.<\/p>\n
The bank’s consolidated earnings per share (EPS) was recorded at Tk. 0.83 for the January-March period of this year against Tk. 0.97 in the same period last year. The bank also reported Tk. 883.22 million Consolidated Profit after Tax for the January-March period, which was Tk. 1,039.21 million in the same period the previous year.<\/p>\n
