Ascott Hotels Dhaka announces the appointment of Mr. Mahmud Russel as their new Hotel Manager for Ascott the Residence and Ascott Palace, both located in Baridhara Diplomatic Zone, Dhaka.<\/p>\n
Mr. Russel has been in the hospitality business for over 14 years and experienced in working in the city business hotel and the destination resort aslead sales and marketing.<\/p>\n
In his former role, Mr. Russel was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Sea Pearl Hospitality Group, and during the two years and seven months\u2019 time, he was leading the Sales and Marketing team for Royal Tulip Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa- a 493 rooms 5-star resort in Cox\u2019s Bazar, Sea Pearl Cruises and hotel La Villa Western managed by Sea Pearl.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining the Royal Tulip in December 2019, Mr. Russel served as Director of Sales & Marketing for Ascott Group Hotels. He was responsible for the company\u2019s increasing development and expansion efforts into high growth, emerging markets both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n
Before joining Ascott in May 2009, Russel served as Human Resources Development executive for Maple Group, where he was instrumental and responsible for administrative auditing for 32 plus Warid Telecom franchise operations countrywide.<\/p>\n
Russel holds a Master\u2019s Degree in Marketing from the University of Dhaka faculty of business, and a bachelor\u2019s degree in business management from the National University, Dhaka College.<\/p>\n
