Azeem Shah appointed Co-Chairman of BIHA SC for int’l affairs
Azeem Shah has been appointed Co-Chairman of Bangladesh International Hotel Association-BIHA Standing Committee for “International Affairs”.
Shah is the Group General Manager for Sea Pearl Beach Resort and Spa Ltd based in Cox’s bazar. With his more than 30 years’ hospitality experience, his passion for excellence and enthusiasm towards luxury hospitality industry, Shah will lead the prestigious team of the hotel Association to future success, said BIHA in a press release.
He has worked in three continents as General Manager in prestigious International Five Star Deluxe Hotels of the World and has a proven track record in Managing and developing many successful hotels.
Born in Australia, Shah expanded his career journey into different countries from Australia, Asia, Middle East and Europe. He has held senior hospitality positions in multiple brands include Starwood, Marriott, Choice, etc where he played an instrumental role in the hotel’s brilliant achievements in the Asian market, while making important contribution for Starwood’s brand influence in Bangladesh.
With his extensive hospitality expertise and passion for Bangladesh market, Shah will continue to enable himself and the team at BHIA to deliver to the Hospitality and Tourism Industry, it added.
Aside from being well-travelled, Shah loves flying light aircraft, deep sea diving, clay target shooting and is passionate about promoting and branding Bangladesh as the next destination in your to-do list, added the press release.
