ATAB and Sri Lanka tour operators convene for a B2B meeting.

Travel industry leaders from Bangladesh’s Association of Travel Agents (ATAB) and Sri Lanka’s Tour Operators gathered for a collaborative Business to Business (B2B) event hosted at the ATAB conference room in the capital city. The primary objective of this gathering, held on Monday was to strengthen the tourism sectors of both nations through mutual cooperation.
Distinguished guests included Professor Sudharshan Seneviratne, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Bangladesh, who honored the event as the chief guest. Leading the proceedings was ATAB Secretary General Abdus Salam Aref.
Among the special guests were Ruwanthi Delpitiya Deputy High Commissioner, Ms. Srimali Jayarathna First Secretary (Commercial) of the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Bangladesh, and Sharuka Wickrama Adittiya the Manager of Sri Lankan Airlines.
Esteemed individuals from ATAB were also in attendance including Senior Vice-President Afsia Jannat Saleh Joint Secretary General, Abdul Hamid Finance Secretary, Abdur Razzak Cultural Secretary, Toha Chowdhury and Sabuj Munshi Executive Member. Additionally, the event welcomed numerous key figures from the tourism sector of both nations.
The meeting featured participation from representatives of approximately 30 agencies, each contributing to the discussions. During his address, Sudharshan Seneviratne encouraged unified efforts to drive the advancement of both countries’ tourism sectors, emphasizing their pivotal role in revitalizing the economies.
Abdus Salam Aref expressed his appreciation for the stakeholders from both nations, commending their involvement in the B2B event that is poised to invigorate the tourism economies of both countries.
