Dhaka University Statistics Department Alumni Association

The 7th reunion of Dhaka University Statistics Department Alumni Association (DUSDAA) was held at Qazi Motahar Hossain Bhaban premises yesterday. The Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzamaninaugrated the program at 11:30 in the morning. The function was presided over by Mr. Mahbub Zaman, President, Board of Trustees, DUSDAA. The inaugural function was conducted by the Secretary General of the Executive Committee of of DUSDAA, Professor Dr. Jahida Gulshan. Professor Dr. Syed Shahadat Hossain, Secretary Trustee Board, DUSDAA, Professor Lutfor Rahman, Chairman, Executive Committee of DUSDAA and Professor SayemaSharmin, Chairperson, Department of Statistics of University of Dhaka spoke on the occasion.
About three hundred graduates of Statistics Department of Dhaka University along with their family members participated in this event from 9 am to 8 pm. A large number of graduates participated in this year’s event as the reunion program was closed for two years due to Corona. The day is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm. Qazi Motahara Hossain Bhavan premises was buzzling throughout the day with different sports and other activities including reminiscences for the adults, Puppets, ball houses jumping castles, balloon inflating and other activities for the children, Lunch in the afternoon, cultural programs with tea in the afternoon were the main attractions. The evening concluded with a cultural program and raffle draw in the evening.
